What maintenance is required?
Decorative gravel is ideal as a maintenance-free way of keeping your garden, however, to ensure it remains so you should initally provide good drainage. Laying down weedblock on the bare earth will allow water to drain through to the ground while preventing weeds from growing up through the gravel. If this is laid properly, there should be little requirement other than a few bags of gravel added every couple of years to freshen up.
